You may not have noticed that propane prices have risen....

Some people use propane all throughout their homes. They heat with it. Their hot water tanks operate off of it. They cook with it. Other people use other forms of energy, such as electric or natural gas to heat their homes, run their hot water tank, and cook.

They only use propane when they cook out on the grill in the summer time. If you do not use propane on a regular basis, you may not have noticed that propane prices have risen.

Like other petroleum products, propane prices have skyrocketed. It costs more to fill up your gas tank in your car, truck, or SUV. Whether you heat your home with natural gas, fuel oil, or propane, it costs more these days.

If you heat your home with propane, you are probably already aware of the fact that propane prices have risen. It costs more to fill up your propane tank now than it did last year or the year before. If you do not use large tanks full of propane, you may not have noticed the increase in price so much.

When you only use a small tank or two of propane each year to operate your gas grill, you may not notice an increase in cost. If you do, it is very little.

However, when you have to fill a 250-500 pound tank, you notice the increase in cost a lot more than someone who only fills a 20 pound tank once or twice each year. My husband and I heat our home and operate our hot water tank with electric. We cook with propane though. We use a small 20 pound tank, and we generally refill it once each month.

Even we have noticed the increase in price. We used to be able to fill the tank for around fifteen dollars. Now it costs closer to seventeen. The two dollar increase per month isn’t much, but if we were filling a larger tank on a regular basis, it would definitely have an effect on our wallets.
